SATCOM Components

Ka-, Ku-, Q/V-band components for satellite communication — from RF to millimeter wave.

bq-microwave supplies components for satellite communication across Europe — from ground stations and mobile VSAT terminals to new LEO constellations. Our portfolio covers all relevant bands: C-, X-, Ku-, Ka-, Q-, and V-band up to 110 GHz.

For SATCOM applications, we offer waveguide components (bends, transitions, couplers, isolators), coaxial amplifiers, mixers and oscillators, as well as complete up/down-converter modules. Our manufacturer partners deliver solutions for GEO, MEO, and LEO applications, fixed ground stations, gateway systems, and phased-array antennas.

Especially in Ka-band (26.5–40 GHz) and Q/V-band (40–75 GHz), we provide high-precision components with low insertion loss and high isolation. Many products are ITAR-free and immediately available for the European market.

Typical Applications

26.5 – 40 GHz

Ka-Band Ground Stations

High-performance waveguide and coaxial components for transmit and receive ground stations in Ka-band (26.5–40 GHz) — filters, diplexers, waveguide adapters, antenna feed systems.

7 – 14.5 GHz

X-/Ku-Band Tracking Antennas

Components for tracking systems in X-band (7–8 GHz) and Ku-band (10.7–14.5 GHz) — phase shifters, switches, diplexers for single- and multi-beam tracking.

33 – 75 GHz

Q/V-Band Satellite Research

Waveguide components and mmWave modules in Q-band (33–50 GHz, WR-22) and V-band (50–75 GHz, WR-15) for next-generation high-capacity satellite networks.

SATCOM

What frequency bands are used for SATCOM?+

Satellite communication covers L-band (1–2 GHz, GPS/Mobile-Sat), X-band (7–8.5 GHz, military), Ku-band (10.7–14.5 GHz, broadcast and VSAT), Ka-band (26.5–40 GHz, high-throughput satellites), and Q/V-band (33–75 GHz, next generation). We supply components for all of these bands.

What components do you supply for Ka-band ground stations?+

For Ka-band ground stations (26.5–40 GHz), we supply WR-28 waveguide components — filters, diplexers, isolators, waveguide adapters, and antenna feed systems. We also offer highly integrated up- and down-converters as well as amplifier modules from AT Microwave and SHX.

Do you offer components for Q/V-band satellites?+

Yes. For next-generation high-capacity ground stations in Q-band (33–50 GHz, WR-22) and V-band (50–75 GHz, WR-15), we supply waveguide components and mmWave modules — ideal for research projects, prototyping, and building future multi-hundred-gigabit receive stations.
