The AT Microwave SGA-03B series comprises three WR-3.4 standard gain horn antennas for the 220–330 GHz range (J-band). Three gain variants are offered: AT-SGA-15-03B (15 dBi), AT-SGA-20-03B (20 dBi) and AT-SGA-25-03B (25 dBi) – all with linear polarization, a UG-387/U-M flange and a gold-plated brass body.
What is a standard gain horn antenna?
A standard gain horn antenna (SGA) is a pyramidal horn with a precisely known gain that stays stable across its frequency band. That is exactly why it serves as a reference: in a gain-transfer measurement the unknown device under test is compared against the calibrated standard gain horn, allowing its absolute gain to be determined without a complex absolute measurement. In the J-band (220–330 GHz) – a range on the threshold of the sub-THz region – precisely machined reference horns with a clean radiation pattern are especially important, since even the smallest mechanical tolerances distort the result.

Applications
- mmWave communication
- FOD detection (foreign object debris)
- System setups and measurement benches
- Antenna gain measurement (gain reference)
Series scalable up to 1100 GHz
The SGA-03B models shown here cover the J-band. Beyond that, AT Microwave manufactures standard gain horn antennas up to 1100 GHz (up to WR-1.0) – matching waveguide sizes for higher bands are available on request.
