D-Band WR6 Amplifier 110-170 GHz

D-Band WR6 Low Noise Waveguide Amplifiers 110-170 GHz

D-Band WR6 waveguide low noise amplifiers operating across the full 110-170 GHz spectrum deliver exceptional performance for demanding applications requiring high sensitivity and minimal noise contribution in the mmWave and sub-THz frequency domain. The WR6 waveguide architecture provides inherent advantages in power handling efficiency and signal integrity at D-band frequencies, where conventional transmission media become increasingly lossy.

Technical Specifications

  • Frequency Range: 110-170 GHz (full D-band coverage)
  • Gain Options: 18 dB and 33 dB configurations available
  • Waveguide Format: WR6 standard for D-band operation
  • Design: Compact waveguide geometry minimizing phase distortion
  • Supply Configurations: DC-powered module variant and benchtop unit with integrated AC/DC adapter (LCBT version)

Application Areas

  • 5G/6G & Telecommunications: D-band segment communication infrastructure for next-generation wireless networks
  • Radar & Defense: Radar systems and detection platforms requiring extended frequency range, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) detection systems
  • SATCOM: RF-over-Fiber (ROF) architectures and distributed antenna systems
  • Test & Measurement: High-frequency test equipment and scientific research instrumentation for spectroscopy

Extended Product Portfolio

Beyond low noise amplifier offerings, complementary D-Band power amplifiers (HPA) across 110-170 GHz are available, enabling complete transmit and receive chain solutions. Waveguide amplifiers extending to 330 GHz for applications requiring higher frequency operation are maintained in inventory.
