WR-04 Waveguide Amplifier up to 260 GHz

WR-04 Waveguide Amplifiers for H-Band Applications

The WR-04 waveguide amplifier series provides high-performance millimeter-wave amplification for the H-Band frequency range from 195 to 260 GHz. Available in both Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) and High Power Amplifier (HPA) configurations, these compact modules enable complete signal chain solutions within a single waveguide standard. The platform is engineered for satellite communications, radar systems, and precision test equipment operating in the millimeter-wave spectrum.

Technical Specifications

Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) Modules:

  • Frequency Range: 195–230 GHz and 210–260 GHz variants
  • Gain: 15–18 dB
  • Noise Figure: 8 dB typical
  • Waveguide Standard: WR-04

Power Amplifier (HPA) Modules:

  • Frequency Range: 195–220 GHz and 210–230 GHz variants
  • Gain: 10–25 dB depending on model
  • Saturated Output Power: +10 to +20 dBm
  • Configuration: Multiple gain/power combinations available

Applications

  • SATCOM & Point-to-Point Links: High-capacity H-Band communication systems for satellite and terrestrial wireless links
  • Radar & Sensing: Foreign Object Debris (FOD) detection, airport surveillance, and high-resolution radar platforms
  • Test & Measurement: Precision RF laboratory equipment for millimeter-wave characterization
  • Radio-over-Fiber: Fronthaul and backhaul network infrastructure for fiber-wireless integration

The modular design enables rapid integration into existing waveguide architectures, reducing development time for H-Band system designers. Multiple gain and output power variants provide flexibility across different frequency sub-bands within the 195–260 GHz allocation.
